All about the simple things in life

All about the simple things in life

I first discovered crochet as a teenager when mum taught me how to make a basic grannny square. Over the next few months I gradually continued around a blanket however I never finished it. And still to this day I have no idea where it ended up or if it ever got finished.

After finishing uni I made a great friend who just happen to be boarding with my in-laws. We had quite a few common interests, one being craft. So each week when wewent over for dinner my great friend and myself would sit down and work on a craft project each whilst catching up. That's when I discovered knitting and crochet all over again. Knitting I found slow but Crochet I loved! I could get into a rhythm and projects came together really fast.

And then God blessed us with two beautiful little girls! Over the last 5 years my crochet hooks have certainly got a work out! Outside of those few early lessons from my mum to make granny squares I am completely self taught with the help of the internet! I have made hats, beanies, cargians, jumpers, sock, toys, bags…. the list goes on.

I have come across so many wonderful patterns that I want to share with you. I have even made a few of my own!

So here you will find my journey as I master the skills of crochet!
